We absolutely need to streamline the government, and we absolutely need to pay down the debt. But those are only being used as excuses. What needs to be done has to be a collaboration, and we don't fucking DO that any more.

The money needs to be dished out for election purposes, as well as people simply struggling horribly financially right now. It is their money after all.

But if Trump loses the midterms, the spending spree will continue and only get worse. Then at some point all the money will be worthless, and China takes over.

The road is not sustainable people.

Refunding 20% of the savings to taxpayers is a great idea, as is using another 20% for tax cuts. Both will stimulate the economy, which is the ultimate way to deal with our debt situation. The remainder should be used for budget deficit reduction/elimination. which will lower our debt servicing costs by giving investors greater confidence in the dollar.

"Paying off" our current debt is unrealistic and unnecessary if it becomes progressively smaller in relation to our GDP.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm, we are cutting multi billions and billions from our spending. This only takes a very small cut out of one year so this by itself doesn't really add to our debt.
