Jenna’s Biblical world view as recirded on my phone
Welcome back, so let’s get to the debate last night and OK all of us went into this first of all not really knowing what to expect.
I was actually asked by a couple of reporters yesterday heading into the debate so we think any predictions and you know, texting some friends all of us and my assessment going into this.
I have no idea what version of Kamala Harris is she gonna come out and be all joy and sparkle and nothing is she gonna be Kind of being rigid person she can be super word salad and then is Trump going to be sort of the stoic passive figure that we saw in the last debate of Biden or is he gonna be a repeat of some of the 2020 debates where he was a lot more argumentative and what about the moderator right so so we go into this and it was just painful. It was overall
I think everybody lost and I think everybody could’ve done better articulating their positions,
She actually came out on the stage and introduced herself to Trump, which I just laughed at. I’m like OK so you’re just showing that he has a lot more recognition than you I mean instead of like good you know good good to see you Mr. former president because you know the person who is known better is usually the one that doesn’t have to introduce themselves and Trump didn’t Thom so that was funny and she was very nervous and awkward.
Initially her first response was very candid rehearse, and she fumbled it right out of the gate and it wouldn’t have mattered what the moderators asked her. She would’ve had the same first canned response and so that that wasn’t great, but she got her footing pretty quickly and ended up appearing very poised throughout the rest of the debate. She was very calm. She got a little bit Passionate. I would say about a few things. There were a few comments on social media that her responses to the abortion topics were her most passionate, which is just downright evil quite frankly, but contrast Donald Trump just did not perform well. This was a bad debate for him because he allowed it to be a referendum on his administration and on his Responses to
did not even just Covid but like the whole January 6 narrative, the whole everything some of his recent comments on Kamala Harris says race so he got very defensive and he allowed Kamala Harris and the moderators by the way he will get you in a second Kamala Harris to get under his skin and he became very defensive and Even Color her names or anything so give him props for that but he he did have some of those snarky remarks like she, she said something to him when her mic was turned off and was like you know please please stop. I’m I’m speaking like that sound familiar like it just it just seemed low and totally unnecessary
but the worst part of it was that he just rambled. She was overprepared in my opinion to say things without saying anything And he just kind of rambled and I was sitting there, listening, thinking if I hadn’t heard Trump speak quite a lot and didn’t already sort of nowhere policies are
I think every reasonable American knows what his administration was and they also know what Biden‘s four years have been wouldn’t really get anything new from anything that he was saying in his one job
This debate if I’m on his campaign, right I would say that one job was to show that Kamala Harris has been part of the Biden administration and that she has failed to do she Biden together failed to do in the last four years everything she promised that she would do in the next four years and instead she contrasted herself
and said well, I’m not Biden pretty effectively and then started pointing out that none of his former chief of staff is on former vice president and all these other people are not supporting and they think he’s a danger to democracy you know all of these things and and then he started defending that instead of consistently keeping her on the defense so I thought that was a net loss for him,
but his closing statement was actually the strongest and I think if the entire debate had been as strong as his closing statement, then he would have prevailed even though it really was a three on one because when he was on the debate the moderator so talk about them for a second they were the biggest losers ABC and this debate was horrible. I never thought I would say that I wish this had been on CNN but I do because the last debate that was moderated out with Biden and Trump between Dana Bash, and Jake Tapper as the moderators nobody was talking about them except to say they did good the moderators on ABC David and Lindsay Davis I think is her last name Lindsay they inserted themselves and they did this so they interrupted Trump and they said well we just want to fact check this and they were going back for one point David actually tried to check Trump‘s intent and his tone of sarcasm.
How do you check somebody’s tone when he’s I didn’t get that that was it was intended to tell the audience of the world primarily American people the people who were going to vote in November that he thinks that Trump is lying that is inappropriate for a moderator, and my position on the whole thing is even if both of the candidates are lying or there are checks that are let the voters and the viewers do that the moderator should not be inserting themselves either way because their facts could be wrong or they’re not there to debate the candidates to moderate the debate if Kamala Harris wants Donald Trump Trump, Donald Trump Harris is not
the moderator inserted themselves in fact probably and I lost count. I mean it was it was probably at least five times and and very persistently and I kept following up with questions and you didn’t answer this question not one time in the entire time that was about an hour and 45 minutes.
They do that to Harris that is not referee, that is a moderator that inserting debate was incredibly unfair and Donald Trump was absolutely right about that some of his responses but again his closing statement if this had been what he kept hammering the entire debate,
I think we would’ve had an entirely different perspective and and I and I think outcome of this debate so this was his closing statement by saying she’s gonna do this. She’s gonna do that.
She’s gonna do wonderful things. Why hasn’t she done it? She’s been there for 3 1/2 years they had 3 1/2 years to fix the border. They’ve had 3 1/2 years to. we have wars going on in the Middle East. We have wars going on with Russia and we’re gonna end up in a third world war. It’ll be a war no because of nuclear weapons. The power of weapon built our entire military. She gave a lot of it away to the Taliban. She gave it to Afghanistan what these people have done to our country and maybe toughest of all is allowing millions of people to come into our country. Many of them are criminals, destroying our country. The worst, worst vice president in the history of our country was very strong, and unfortunately, that was an hour and 45 minutes into the broadcast where I would love to see the views of how many people were actually watching in the beginning, compared to how many people stuck through it until that point other than in people like me, unfortunately, had to watch the entire thing because I wanted to comment on it this morning and that is part of my job, but if I was just a regular voter and an average citizen that tune into the debate as much as I am engaged in politics and interested in it if I did not have to get up this morning, I would’ve been done before they took their first break about an hour and I would just said OK I’ve seen enough. I see how this is going and I’m not learning anything because this was really the question and one of the things that I posted in kind of my life posting through through the debate last night and you’re always welcome to follow along on my ex post for things like this and I don’t think we’re gonna get another debate. Honestly, I would be very surprised with less than 60 days to go. If we see another debate I just said did anybody really learn anything from us because what I would’ve loved to see and what I said yesterday, I wish that and I was hoping that that we would’ve seen is Donald Trump actually pressing her on communism and Marxism. I think he mentioned Marxism once, but it was kind of in the middle of this sort of rambling kind of trump and kind of rhetoric and it really didn’t land and for the average person who is seeing Kamala Harris as someone who is just this perhaps reasonable Obama like Democrat and you have to remember that there aren’t like the majority of our audience I mean I’m speaking mostly to the AFR audience who agrees that come on Harris says policy positions are very dangerous to the ones that aren’t necessarily vague and what she stands for is communism and Marxism and we disagree with that policy because our policy positions are predicated on truth and a biblical worldview and genuine freedom and Trump did not define that well enough he didn’t contrast that well enough and didn’t point out throughout the debate, just how dangerous she would be in terms of the policy and talk about his own accomplishments in a better sense because everything that Kamala Harris through him was of course during the last year of his presidency and the outcome of Covid and that’s what the Democrats are trying to pin as Trump‘s Legacy and I think they’ve done that fairly effectively for the people who aren’t paying as close to attention to say you look you left office and we had the worst economy had the lowest jobs we had in all of these things that were going on. They’re totally forgetting purposefully I think the three years that he was in office without this so-called worldwide pandemic that look at the other countries that were facing even worse if you can imagine it worse, lockdowns and responses and so forth that had been decimated even worse than the United States and he didn’t really talk about that contrast and I think that he is reluctant and hesitant and maybe even fearful to go into the whole Covid analysis because he knows that the majority of space disagree with the vaccine and that’s controversial but in that setting and that context he should’ve pushed back and I don’t know what his debate prep was and we’ve seen that TC Gabbard was helping him and some of these things, but it came in. He came in more like it was just a regular media interview then a debate and what he should’ve done in my opinion if he really wanted to show the contrast between his worldview of government definition of freedom and the conservative view and enemy he’s a populist not really conservative and as everybody knows I think they’re policy positions. He shifted too far to the left, but he’s more of the right than Kamala Harris right I mean that’s why he’s the Republican candidate. She’s the Democrat candidate. He’s the freedom candidate. She’s a communist candidate. Those are just their politicians and Zach contrast was not seen what came out to ultimately to me what it was the average of you I was kind of trying to position OK if I’m just listening to this debate only what came out was that she was the more poised solid let’s let’s move forward. Let’s turn the page. Let’s give it. I am for freedom and she she said that in terms of freedom of choice like I’m for freedom you were for restrictions where he came off as very rambling and really incoherent and very, very very defensive and so a couple of responses from a few people that you may know on social media like all who I really respect she’s a good friend. She said this both are true. ABC moderators were absolutely disgraceful totally unabating their bias also Trump took all the bait handed to him and didn’t even come close to hitting come up where it hurts, even with bad moderators, he had the opportunity best case he moves on from this completely and pretends. It didn’t happen, which his campaign is not doing because they had a prepared statement that Trump absolutely crushed, good night, if you’ve been receiving all of the text messages that I have this morning. That was their canned response to the debate was that he absolutely crushed it and that’s just that that’s not what happened and a user name Tammy Clark said this my thoughts on the debate she has mastered the art of discrediting the witness as an attorney is a professional Gaslighter as they all are and is projecting a savior complex well bold face lying sadly people are so informed and stupid that they’ll fall for it. I think that’s accurate.
