Yup. I've debated MMT'rs before. The debt never has to be paid back, only the interest on the debt needs to be paid. So, we can have as much debt as we want. In fact, deficit spending fuels the economy, you just have to make sure that every year we spend more than the year before because if we spend less than the previous year the economy goes into recession. So, we just spend more and more, print more and more money, and the only danger there could possibly be is hyperinflation, which we can just ward off when we see it coming.

Haven't heard too much from these MMT'rs the last few years after hyperinflation arrived and it shut them up. But they are starting to come back out again, repeating the very same nonsense that gave us hyperinflation over the last few years.
