I admire the election between Miller and Murkowski with Murkowski running a write in campaign.

OTOH Begich (D) won election to the Senate in 2008 only because of the federal corruption trial Stevens was having to defend himself against. Stevens was found guilty, (of making false statements) but his conviction was vacated. Begich won by a very slim margin even with all the controversy swirling around Stevens.
