Cool so answer the question. Why should India participate in not buying Russian gas if Europe is going to buy it? Russia is allegedly threatening Europe, but India is supposed to care about that more than Europe?


And Russia produces the second most LNG on the planet. Their gas is going to be purchased by someone.

Europe has to have LNG from Russia because they can't get it from us YET! India is getting Russian oil at a huge discount yet still feeding their conquest of Ukraine.

So. That doesnt answer the question why India should care more about the Russian threat to Europe than Europe obviously does. I'm not questioning that Europe "needs the LNG" but if Russia is actually a threat to invade Europe (which they aren't) Europe wouldn't be funding their ability to do so and if they are funding it why should India make a different decision?

And for the record the myth that Russia won't be selling it's LNG if Europe stops buying it is moronic.

Russia produces the second most LNG on the planet at about 700 million metric tonnes per year. That's as much as 3-6 combined on the list of LNG producing countries. The US produces around 900. There isnt 700 million tonnes of spare capacity out there, so someone is going to buy it.

Oil and natural gas are different. One does not replace the other.

Clearly enough countries continue to do business with Russia that how many years later they continue to fight this war? How? If no one is doing business with Russia, how is their economy still working?

I thought they couldn't buy things they needed for manufacturing and that was going to end the war. Clearly they are getting everything they need, from somewhere. Even the USA continues to do business with Russia.
