How President Bush was almost captured…..and eaten

Let a war veteran historian get a word in edgewise. The fact remains that during WWII, more than a few "Entitled" sons were serving in combat. Like Bush SR and JFK. For a pilot, there something called the golden BB and it has no ones name on it and doesn't respect anyone when it hits. Bush SR, got hit with that golden BB and had the forethought to get as far away from the actual battle to bail or ditch. He bailed out at a dangerous less than 1000 feet which is way below the "Safe" altitude. 2000 was the safe altitude. He got lucky, real lucky and not only survived the ejection but the time in the shark infested waters to be picked up by the sub.

Be fair, Joe Jr. wasn't on a suicide mission. His job was to take the Aphrodite Drone (a war-weary B-17 loaded with explosives and remotely controlled) off and then bail out. For some reason the drone blew up in flight killing him.
Technically, it was not a suicide mission but there were ample opportunities to get killed.
Activate the bomb and bail out.
What could go wrong?

A number of pilots managed it. As far as I know, Joe Jr. was the only fatality during the operational phase of the program.

It was well documented how President George HW Bush was a WWII Navy pilot and was shot down on a bombing mission and rescued by a submarine.
What was not well reported was what happened to the other eight pilots who were shot down that day. Those pilots were captured by the Japanese, tortured, beaten, beheaded and four of them had their body parts eaten by the Japanese.
Bush saw the Japanese boats picking pilots from the water and was desperately trying to paddle away when a US plane came and strafed the Japanese. Bush was later rescued by a submarine.

This is the actual version of the story Joe Biden told, but was confused because he thought it happened to his uncle. :auiqs.jpg:

Bush was a Senators son entitled to special treatment

As a pilot he flew 58 combat missions
On the mission he was shot down, he was hit and continued to drop his bombs on target and received a Distinguished Flying Cross.

Even after being picked up by a Submarine he spent 30 days on the Sub and underwent a depth charge attack

Not at that time. Prescott Bush was not elected to the Senate until 1952.

You would think Bush would be safe when picked up by the submarine. Once picked up, he had to finish out the subs patrol for 30 more days.
During that time, the sub was attacked by Japanese bombers and depth charged

Yet the democrat media supported a genuine draft dodger instead of a genuine WW2 hero.
