How much tax did you pay for 2004?

Roughly $2000.

EDIT: This is just income tax. Sales tax, probably about $1000-$1500. Property tax, about $1200. Licenses, about $100. Gas tax (on top of sales tax) about $100-120. Utility taxes, probably about $200.

well before i met her i was poor....now i am defo not poor....plus she does me...so it is a good thing

with federal health insurance I forked about 55% of my income to the German
state. And then there was the green party advocating to tax gasoline
to 15$ a gallon.

I feel like I pay next to nothing here.

yeah, my wife does my taxes too, I wasn't poor when I met her, but as manu said .... she ....

I didn't voluntarily pay any taxes...they withheld approx $10K....not including max on Social Security and the rest.....

Income taxes are only the first part of it, though...considering all the sales tax, property tax (about 8K) and misc other tolls, charges and mil levies....it all adds up to a tremendous amount!

I don't even want to think about it...most people work through the end of April to apy their taxes....I think I work through August!
