Crazy as this may sound, there is evidence that the recent fires (when I say recent, I mean the last couple years) were deliberately set.
No one wants to hear about that though.
Correct. Because some wanker on a message board going "there is evidence", with no actual evidence and no link, along with at least $4.50 plus tax, will get you a cup of overpriced Starbucks.
The Camp Fire that burned the entire town of Paradise however is
known to have been caused by insulators on a 68-year old 115,000 volt transmission line in a canyon, which snapped and cast molten metal to the ground igniting whatever was there to ignite (read: almost everything) in an area that was in no way anyone's back yard that they could have been cleaning up with a Finnish vacuum cleaner.
There is evidence, there were reports, there were and are pictures and videos.
There is also the record that PG&E publicly alerted the area that they were considering cutting power transmission due to conditions, but did not, even though a red flag warning was in effect.
So yeah tell us all about how "some people say it wuz arson" while I pour myself a cup of Starbucks and listen in rapt amazement. That'll be $4.50.
