The public dialogue about the Iran War misses the mark, It is not a situation where if the U.S. does not respond to Iranian missile and drone attacks Iran will be emboldened they will perceive Trump as weak and attack more. The Iranian regime is smart and wise which means there is no way on God's green earth the Strait of Hormuz is going to be open to non-Iranian ship traffic and not Iranian ship traffic and the Iranian regime has leverage and will use it they can attack ships navigating the Strait or attack American Gulf allies infrastructure. A corollary to this is that the Iranian regime is not going to let America destroy its oil infrastructure with its blockade which will cause Iran to shutter its oil and natural gas production with long-term damage to such and not seek to destroy America's Gulf allies oil infrastructure.

Trump is acting like such a smacked-ass with his memorandum of understanding hope Iran will never agree to permanently not enrich uranium enough to nuclear bomb level and Iran will never even commit to giving Trump what they gave Obama in the JCPOA (the Iran nuclear deal) the Iran regime is not going to give the Trump administration a win for bombing the hell out of their country! So many Republicans like Scott Jenning the right-wing radio host and media commentator are saying America has gone this far we have to at least end this conflict with a deal that Iran agrees to never build a nuclear weapon that deal is never going to happen advocating for this you're just risking a ground war in Iran and/or escalation of the bombing where oil infrastructure amongst Persian Gulf countries gets destroyed whole scale which causes a severe world wide recession due to high fossil fuel prices. It is an unforgivable utmost serious offense to advocate this position and the same goes for all these Democrats advocating for passage of a War powers resolution and then saying we cannot just leave without getting a nuclear deal. For all you irresponsible leaders the writing is on the wall this Iran war continues and one of these two catastrophic outcomes will occur! The only good exit path left is to try to negotiate where the world sees the path to the Strait go back to the way it was before the war.

What is also noteworthy is how Trump is supposed to be this stylish classy guy but this guy doesn't even have simple common dignity simple common pride! He is sending his Secretary of State to meet the Pope in Vatican City tomorrow after I believe it was this past Monday criticizing the Pope saying he doesn't care about Catholics because he opposes the war in Iran and this is after numerous other insults to the Pope over the past two months; the Pope is committed to spreading a Gospel of love and Trump is committed to advancing the interest of the American people have the brains and the dignity to recognize that your relationship is always going to be severely strained. Trump is going to China next week after its crystal clear that that China is selling Iran dual use parts that help Iran build weapons and China has sold or leased or given Iran a satellite to help Iran target American or our allies assets and people! If Trump has a modicum of pride and dignity he wouldn't go to China; China is neither our friend or our ally and never ever will be and the same goes for Russia as long as Vladimir Putin is the President of Russia!

Their talking new negotiations next week. This is bullshot. Unless there is something else, we are being lead like suckers. Gas may be 5 dollars a gallon y Memorial Day and summer. I believe the Iran policy will reveal itself in such a way that even Trump cannot deny it.

If Iran will open the strait if we pull our blockade back, we should do it. It's not an indication of defeat, just a repositioning of assets and policy, or as someone once put it, "A strategic advance in the opposite (another) direction".

In the PBS presentation of "The American Revolution" a particular military event was described. Certain Patriot forces kept attacking British forces but kept losing the battles forcing repeated retreats. However, they were inflicting heavy losses on the British which prompted one British leader to comment, "I don't know how many of these battles we can continue to win before our entire army is destroyed."

If the world is dissolving and new allies are being made, then our nation must take control of the Western Hemisphere. And within that control there will be a percentage of it that will be radical anyway. It all makes more sense if we think of him as though he is a 10 year old boy who is the biggest kid on the playground. He's very good at making threats. He just can't think his way out of a wet paper bag.
