Your first paragraph is true. While the LSM tries to do what you say they are not all media. Fox news and OAN will broadcast every blooper. And the terminal companies Reuters and Bloomberg will be telling everyone else in the world because that is how they make their money. The scandals are created by you. If Trump ran as Prog and had the same odds against him as he ran as a Repub, there would be endless movies being made about him in a near total positive light. To understand what he did in the 2016 campaign is incredible. Starting in last place with no political experience although some other Repubs did not declare yet, he became competitive. And he was not liked by many voters at the start. Everything he learned working in the Prog dominated TV/Entertainment/News industry, he used against the Repub challengers and spanked the Prog TV/Entertainment/News people while at it. And causing the frauds that Repubs valued as TV/Entertainers/News and even voted for over the decades to show their real selves. Then he ran against Hillary who was sickly and even caught demeaning some TV/Entertainer/News individuals when the proper questions were not asked. She was elevated as no Prog had been before with near the whole system under Prog control and still lost the election. The Prog people on election night had the greatest meltdowns in American history. This was all ripe for great drama programs. And all ripe for a political class with the TV/Entertainer/News class to work with Trump after the election. Instead it was venom full speed ahead. Trump has responded in kind. Because he knows how to do it. But he tried to show open palms for working together from the start. And most Trump voters do not trust many of their own politicians.
