if I am reading this correctly Oregon has less than 2% black population but 40% of them are in poverty. right? whereas Mississippi has 38% blacks and 38% of them are in poverty.

So, the original premise that there is a higher rate of black poverty in southern states is categorically wrong. As I stated originally.

You have to examine all of it, not just two.

I wouldn't get all excited about the difference between 38% and 40%. Numbers that close aren't different.





Depends on what half of the South were talking about. And what year.

For the greater part, it seems to be whites in one half and blacks in the other half. Even that just doesn't really mean much. Seems a bit random.

My "retort" was sarcastic because there was no merit in the allegation. What happened almost a century ago has no bearing whatsoever on the falsehoods that PC is making about the liberals of today. Essentially what PC is doing is no different to trying to connect the prior potus's grandfather to the Nazi regime as a means to belittle him. Using the "sins of the fathers" as a weapon to denigrate people who had nothing whatsoever to do with them is utterly disingenuous.
