How Does REAL ID Make an Airplane or Federal Building More Safe if You Are Already Searched and Unarmed?

This is the main giveaway that REAL ID has nothing to do with safety. It will be part of a mass surveillance program linked to facial recognition.

Do they take away your bottles of shampoo and make you remove your shoes at a federal office building? Why not? Why should you have to show any ID at all? Things that make you go hmmm...

"Real ID Has Nothing to Do with Safety

The argument that strict identification is a necessity for safety in airline travel is deeply flawed. The determinant of safety is what a passenger boards a plane with. Either a passenger is “naked,” in the security sense of the word, meaning thoroughly searched for arms or weapons, or he is not. It is ridiculous to presume that a passenger may take over an airliner with the pilots cabin door locked, as all now are. Armed air marshals are now on almost every flight. The requirement for a form of identification to enter federal buildings is equally ridiculous.

As Rep. Thomas Massie said in April in response to Trump’s announcement that Real ID will be enforced,

“As long as the pilot’s door is locked and no one has weapons, why do you care that someone who flies has government permission?

Real ID provides no benefit, yet presents a serious risk to freedom.

If a person can’t be trusted to fly without weapons, why are they roaming free?”
A recent court challenge to warrantless, 24/7 street surveillance by authorities is moving forward."

Considering terrorists used airplanes to kill 3000 Americans on 9/11, I have no problems with the gov't ensuring you are who you say you are if you want to board a 300,000lb flying bomb and fly over our nation. If states wouldn't be handing out ID cards like baseball cards in a middle school, you wouldn't need to do this shit.

There is no threat to your "freedom." You don't have a RIGHT to fly. If you want to travel, drive. Nobody checking your for real ID in your car.

You are figuratively stripped naked before you board that plane.
You have no guns, bombs, knives

Your luggage is scanned

Where is the threat?

Tell that to the 9/11 hijackers.

Over 6700 guns seized by TSA in 2023 alone. 93% of them were loaded. All it takes is one to get through.

The poor dumbocrats don't want modern identification. Easier to get away with crime that way

If a person boarding a plane is unarmed and cannot access the cockpit
What is his threat?

How will Real ID keep us safer?

"more safe" Let me guess, inner-city education.

OK
They used Box Cutters

When was the last time you could bring a Box Cutter on a plane?

Exactly. Thanks for making my point for me.

Brought down a 100 million dollar plane with a box cutter.

Means it doesn't even take a gun to hijack a plane. All the more reason to use screening methods to make sure people aren't dangerous. 6700 people tried to sneak loaded guns onto airplanes in a single year. All it takes is ONE getting through to change the course of history forever.

It doesn’t make you safer
No politicians are standing up to this. To get to pure dictatorship and accusing a group of causing all the problems, we need to take steps to get there if done slowly. We are becoming more and more, numbers and letters instead of names. Thye can shit our life down if they choose to. Access to banks, checks, credit cards, debit cards and even cash. That shuts down a good portion of survival. From social security beginnings to the dawn of credit cards to financial institutions know your customer and more, this is where we are at.

Screening methods make sure you are not carrying a weapon on your person or luggage

How will Real ID change that?

The 9/11 hijackers used regular foreign passports. Real Fascist ID wouldn't have changed that. Like a terrorist organization is going to send someone with a Interpol rap sheet to hijack a plane. Real ID is for retards.

Real ID ensures you are who you say you are because there are multiple steps taken to verify who you claim to be.

So if you're on the no fly list, you don't end up on a plane using a fake ID.

That's how.

This seems so simple to me, but I guess to liberals, it's a truly complex issue.

I have no issue with the government making flying safer

I just don’t get how Real ID accomplishes that

What prevents someone with Real ID from trying to hijack a plane?

Real ID says nothing about your political ideology or affiliations
