Agreed. I go by the maxims "better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6" and "dead men tell no tales".

The point being that all Americans should be against violence, be it left or right, but they should also be ready to meet violence with greater violence when it comes to protecting themselves and their families.

I didn't vote for McCain. While I respected him on some levels, he was far too Deep State for me and badly handled his choice of Vice President. I wasn't so much opposed to Sarah Palin as much as I was to his naked pandering for female votes and not preparing her in any way for the voracious appetite of an extremely negative liberal/leftist press. I voted Libertarian that time around.
I did vote for Romney but held my nose. Never could stand him but despised Obama more.
I couldn't stand Trump when he descended the elevator in 2915. Self-serving publicity stunt. And I hated the way he attacked other Republicans. I didn't vote for President in 2016 but when my wife woke me at 2:00 in the morning to tell me Trump had won, I was very relieved because as much as I despised Obama, multiply by that by 100 for how I feel about Hillary, the worst person to ever run for President.
By the time of the inauguration, however, I was on board. I often judge people by the enemies they make. And Trump has made the best enemies: slimy leftists, communists, Deep State thugs.
He drives me nuts sometimes but I think he's the most important and impactful President of the last 50 years, easily.

It's just more evidence that MAGA is a cult, not a political party loyal to the United States and the American taxpayer.

This summer will be hotter than usual both temperature-wise and politically. I expect more Americans to become frustrated with the Trump administration's incompetence and mishandling of the US economy.
