Every time I've used optics I hit what I was aiming at, but I never went to sniper school. Just had sniper cross-training at 5th SFGrp on my ODA. Got my training from my team SGT that went to Quantico.

Better eyes than me. My eyes have deteriorated such now that I can either see the iron sights or I can see the target, not both.

Just practice good marksmanship techniques, breath control, squeeze the trigger and remember your front site post must be lined up on the target and you'll always hit the target. Tight groups comes from practicing your grip, trigger pull, and developing muscle memory. A lot of it comes from knowing you'll hit what you're aiming at thru practice. Don't get nervous or rushed.

Let me rephrase, I can't see the front post if I can see the target, or inverse. My eyesight is polar opposite and I can wear distance or close in glasses. Right now for example I am weaing glasses set at computer distance. I have to take them off to read or piece of paper and if I get up I have to switch glasses or I will walk right into a wall.

However with a red dot, I just look at the target and the dot appears on the target.
