Let's take a look at a real life enactment shall we.

Workers at large grocery stores in Long Beach can now get an extra $4 an hour in hazard pay due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The city council unanimously approved the wage increase at Tuesday's meeting. The ordinance was tentatively approved, and a final vote is scheduled for Feb. 2.

Sound pretty good, right?

Long Beach approves $4 per hour 'hero pay' for grocery store workers.

Although conveniently not mentioned in the article.

It was for hazard pay not a raise in min wage.

Sure, the stores would still be open if it were minimum wage....dumbass. Try thinking out of that tiny box you call a brain. A raise in wages will have the same affect, you can call it whatever the hell you want.
I am sorry you can't use words correctly try reading yer article.

Why limit it to only $15 an hour? Why not also promise the moon on a silver platter and a MAGNIFICENT coach resplendent in gold and silver and a dozen unicorns haloed in rainbows? Because people aren't that stupid... democrats bank on stupidity. They hedge their entire party on stupidity and gullibility. Its working...apparently.

Destroying jobs is what Democrats do.

Who the hell can live on $15 in major cities?
$30!

Minimum wage is, essentially, the Democrats' "border wall" - a pointless gesture that will do net harm. But it stirs up the dummies and gives government more power. Win/win.

You can't buy the good drugs without good pay.

Well, um as an ex Democrat that wants to think only nicey nice thoughts, why is it most Democratic run cities are being inundated with poverty and homelessness, or has profitable businesses destroyed fighting a rather insignificant issue (black/police interactions)? If I was still a Democrat, I would stop digressing and excusing and I would do some introspection...You know how to do that, right?

But an empty store is more room for the homeless.

The country is now California and needs to prepare.

Excellent question, the answer is Democrat politicians funnel most of the money to select groups who in turn promise to vote Dem and reelect them. So even Dem cities swimming in cash are shitholes while those favored groups who get the money retire after only 20 years with lifetime health insurance and fat pensions.

I wonder if that $4 heeero pay extends to their unemployment checks?

Wow, Ralph's and Food 4 Less are pretty major players. I expected to see a small indy closing its doors, not those two.

But, let this be a lesson. These idiotic mandates will put people out of jobs. The Long Beach City Council didn't get those workers four dollars an hour more.

It got them fired...

When you have black city council men whos entire schtick is fighting racism is funded by wealthy contractors building cheap government housing for the poor getting government grants "fighting" against racism profiting from it at the same time to claiming to fight "whatszithollerism." This is Democrats in a nutshell. Hiawatha Davis for example. They are con artist, using race as their con.

Actually the decision was made by Kroger, they own Ralphs, Food 4 Less, Baker’s. City Market, Dillons, Foods Co. Fred Meyer, Fry’s and Gerbes.

This is the first time I've heard of it. Guess every politician wants to make a name for themselves.

Don't worry about that hike in the minimum wage as the resulting inflation will more than take care of the minimum wage hike!
