House Republicans blocked the release of the Matt Gaetz ethics report

Why do this? If Gaetz has done nothing wrong, one would think he'd have wanted this report released a couple of weeks ago to put everything to rest, but he didn't and ultimately had to withdraw himself from the AG nomination because he didn't have the votes to pass Senate confirmation.

Biden's DOJ that actually manufactures crimes to charge their political opponents found insufficient evidence to charge him. He is now out of government and not up for any appointment. There is no reason to provide more fodder to trash him and/or any incidental persons named in that report other than to satisfy the most prurient curiosity of meanspirited people to use.
