That case was really the only challenge to the NFA. If it was challenged on Constitutional rights nowadays it would be overturned. Especially after Miller and McDonald.

Heller ruled that the right to keep and bear arms is an individual right and individual Constitutional rights cannot be taxed according to previous Court cases.

so long as they provide proof of danger. Judges can enforce either a 14-day or 180-day ban on the possession or purchase of firearms.

So it has some sensible limits at least. But it has to pass the senate now.

So...you think the Constitution should only apply sometimes? And, yes, I said and meant Valuable Personal Property. Guns are used to kill game animals for food to feed ourselves and our family's. Some people buy guns as an investment and each one may cost hundreds or thousands of dollars and are very likely to increase in value over time, more so than any stock or bond. Some people get a kick out of punching holes in targets more accurately than someone else. Who are you or anybody other than a psychiatrist to declare someone mentally incompetent and therefore "dangerous"? I am not willing to lose my Rights under the Constitution because someone somewhere doesn't like me and is willing to slander me for their own purposes.
