Hot Enough For You? No? Change The Measurement

They've been playing games like this for decades.

Well sure. The land temperature will almost always exceed the air temperature because it is the denser land (or water) that actually stores the heat and re-radiates it back into space.

Meanwhile, no climate change here, highs are just now since early July starting to average in the low 80s or high 70s which is typical, but I had a surprise last night around 10PM when it was thundering and raining and probably in the lower 70s looking at my usual weather site for a radar map of the rain, I was surprised that the site showed my temps as this!

Apparently if was pouring down rain here while only 19°F outside! I hope my tomatos are OK! :smoke:

It's like how they always focus on Phoenix or other desert-like areas.

Sure sign of the arrogance of man....Let's pave-over 591 square miles in the desert then complain about how hot it gets. :cuckoo:

If it's two meters above the land, it's air temperature taken in general proximity to your head. I wonder how high up they used to take it? The higher you go the cooler it gets.
