That makes sense if we assume the lawsuit is rooted in innocence, but lawsuits can also be strategic, even if the facts are messy. Public figures sometimes sue because it shifts the narrative or rallies their base, not necessarily because they’re entirely in the clear. Sometimes it’s about political theater. I'm not saying that's what this is, but it's something to think about maybe.
