The funny thing is. These are the same people that five seconds ago felt the government shouldn't have the right to ask a social media company to not give a hyperlink to an article readily available from a major newspaper.

Now all of a sudden, the executive branch can retaliate using the full force of the federal government against a major university because that university doesn't fall in line with the political goals.

Irony is dead.

Political goals have varying degrees of importance.

We're going to be on a war footing pretty soon, and priorities like gender equality will become downright counterproductive.

Private universities have plenty of money, they don't need public support. Who needs support is the state and local colleges where poor kids can get better jobs.

He has already won. Just think how many students around the world are right now changing their applications from Harvard to Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth, Stanford, BC, Notre Dame, Northeastern, Northwestern, U of Hawaii, etc. The decision could be entirely reversed today and the damage would still be done. The last thing the families of international students want is for their students to even potentially get caught up in any domestic political problems in the US.

I doubt Trump loses in Court and if he does -- So what? He can just ignore the Court and have his State Department do his bidding.

I don't believe the Court System has any standing to interfere with Foreign Affairs, which is what this is.

Is it destroying an American institution or relegating the institution to teaching and not ideological politics, and maintaining non-racial and non-religious attitudes of education.
When Colleges teach racial and religious hate that is a step too far.
