Keep in mind that in home defense, you want to dissuade or stop the intruder, not blow holes through the brick in the house and kill your neighbor across the street.

That is why a scatter gun loaded with bird or vermin shot is very popular. Many people load 1-2 shells of heavy bird shot in first to dissuade/repel the intrusion, the 00 buck after that for the kill, if necessary.

Helps a lot if they try to come after you for a homicide if you can show you at least tried to not kill him.

I live in the country, nobody around for a mile but a couple people but me and the wife, she has a ruger LCP 380 with viridian laser

I also have a remington 870 police with trijicon night sites and 00

I tend to only buy the best, buy once cry once, why not you don't live forever

basically yeah, by the time I call 911 to get a sheriff to my house it will be long over

I don't expect any trouble but prepared for it in case

LOL, top notch tricked out AR and handgun, minus my shotgun and a host of other things just in case

not preparing for war but if war comes to me, I should have a fighting chance

better overkill than under, depends on where you live

small town that is quiet, probably not so much, out in the boonies with no help, certainly be prepared for end times

all correct but that works if you are in town on a block, that's tossed out in the country

bedroom, HK P2000 with trijicon in .40, should suffice! love that gun, fit and finish is just so precise

I should have included to get your butt out of an America war zone... When I noticed window and door security gates going on businesses in my quiet California neighborhood... I packed up and moved to Northern AZ where I can drive to the grand canyon and back in one day... Which I did today...

good choice, I live in a very free state for the past 20 years on purpose and did the same thing, left a blue state

I don't expect any riff raff but don't be caught not prepared either, weirdo's are everywhere

depends on the state, if they are on your property and being aggressive to try and kill you and rob you it's your right to defend yourself, you can kill them but if you want to not kill and wound and have LE show up to clean up the mess you should be good

don't expect this in CA, NY, CT, MA because now you are the accused for defending your life and property and will need to go to court
