I think a lot of celebrities do not truly hold liberal values, but fear the power brokers in the entertainment industry, who ARE liberals and can destroy budding careers in a heartbeat. Note that it is only well-established celebrities that dare to identify as conservative. Up-and-coming stars, with the exception of those in country music, identify as liberal in public.

All one needs to do is point to what happened just a few years ago with Roseanne Barr--- she was actually a DEMOCRAT for nearly 40 years of her life until 2008 before experimenting with other parties, then when she tried to resurrect her hit TV show Roseanne, ABC drummed her off her own TV show because she made a passing joke about a staff member of Obumma's! The rest of the cast finally got the show back on the air as "The Connors" disloyally leaving Roseanne behind despite the fact that she was the cement and CENTRAL CHARACTER of the show without which the rest never would have had jobs, and the new version STINKS.

Who can be surprised.

Roseanne's "younger daughter" on the show, "Darlene" is apparently a big liberal who was chief in selling Roseanne down the tubes.
