Historic Grand Canyon Lodge Destroyed While Trump Golfs

Trump put out a federal hiring freeze.
That's why a weatherman whose job it was to coordinate flash flood warnings in Texas was never replaced.

The national park service couldn't do it's seasonal hiring, hence they were short handed.
The problem with that is that THREE warnings were sent out that night. The job still got done even with the loss of one bureaucrat. It probably would have still got done if half the staff had been fired. Governmental agencies at all levels are massively over staffed.

Been several times. Its a shame that the blob is mismanaging a once proud agency.

Now run along kid.
Yeah, right. You haven't got a clue. I notice you didn't answer if you thought Hoover or FDR were responsible the last time a wild fire burned that lodge down in the 30s. What say you? Hmmm?

A chlorine gas release was involved in the massive mis-management of the Trump Administration as well. Its a federal national park so it’s his responsibility....

No injuries...this time.

We have good golfing down here in Phoenix so I imagine Trump will be by next Friday on the way to the links...
Did Trump leave the iron on?

The job didn't get done. His job was to make sure to not only issue warnings, but to make sure they were actually working to evacuate the effected areas.

The difference between telling people there are thunderstorms, and telling them to get off the golf course.

FEMA didn't have enough staff to answer all the phone calls from Texas. Only one third of the people calling actually got through.

Proper staffing means when somebody calls for help, they get help.

How would you feel if you called 911, and nobody answered?

According to the article the OP probably didn't read, the fire was being managed as a controlled burn which got out of control and turned to suppression.
Everyone was evacuated, and no matter how much the idiots huff and puff, it isn't Trump's fault.

In a week it will all be forgotten and they will be on their next childish rant.

FEMA doesn’t provide timely aid, it is a recovery agency.
