The first year it hit that I can defend to some extent. It effected the entire world and we hadnt ever actually had something like this happen in our modern society. It threw everyone for a loop. So the first year I can understand the heavy handed approach. It took a while to understand what we're getting into and we had little information.

And in the grand scheme of things America did pretty well, alot of other countries had a way worse time of it in both the results of the virus and our leadership.

After that first year though we had information, we saw what the results were and had a good handle on it plus we had experience of other countries to draw from. Technically speaking this year should have been business as usual, and all this constant covid fear mongering and vaccine bullshit is sad and pathetic at this point.
