So we will never know what happened at Clinton HQ that night.
I would hope that some of the workers who no longer gave a shit the reaction if they told the truth.
We know for a fact that Hillary was a no-show while her fans were desperate for some comforting words. Sometimes the tabloids are better sources of information than the NY Times. In today's political climate there is no doubt that the criminal enterprise known as the "mainstream media" would have focused on Trump's reaction if he lost the election and there would have been a dozen stories both accurate and made up about it. It's interesting to note that the same reporters who placed an unidentified and unverified informant deep in the Nixon White House after a 3rd rate burglary were around during the Clinton years but they were never interested in the potentially juicier stories of sex, drugs and rock and roll (not to mention the unexplained deaths) in the Clinton White House. Of course they have absolutely no intention today to investigate stories about Hillary's melt down or her and her staff's reaction to her defeat.
I thought it had to be bad on election night when she didn't come out to face the music. It makes sense she was in no condition to face her supporters and left high and dry all the folks that spent hours on end watching the bleak returns. .
