The root of this to me is part of a few things.

Modern feminism went from "women should do what they want" to "women need to do what certain women think all women should do"

The denial of reality shown in the whole trans movement. Trying to promise something to people that can't actually happen leads to further mental issues.

the overall balkanization of people into groups and the fight of those groups to ride up the pity pole.

I might be generalizing, but this to me is the reason behind our issues today.

It's the natural end result of a culture immersed in victimhood and oppression.

In order to be oppressed, you need an oppressor....In order to be oppressed on an ongoing basis, you need to keep the oppressor close at hand, nipping at your heels.

Turbocharge your oppression by creating a straw man (colonialism, systemic racism, the patriarchy, etcetera) so that the "oppressor" can be redefined at the drop of a hat and cannot defend itself.

Now, imagine your every waking moment having that which you've programmed yourself to loathe at the center of your focus....You'd be an angry, paranoid, neurotic basket case too.
