Turkish south-East is very mountainous, and we usually don't search for Terrorists with Tanks and soon.
It is more small commandos backed by Helicopters which go up on mountains to search for terrorists.
Tanks are there almost useless and Air-Force is normally not used within Turkey.

There are mountains up to over 5.000 Meters in this region.

Today Iran has attacked with Missiles a PKK-related camp in Northern-Iraq when PKK-Terrorists tried to flee into Iran.

Some PKK-terrorists have tried to run off northern irak through iran but iranian army has bombed them and pushed them back to irak. Also Syria has deployed troops on the boarder to prevent Kurdish terrorists from fleeing to Syria.
It seems that terrorists in north irak are afraid of a turkish attack so they try to run off. But Iran and Syria secure their boarders and bomb them.

Turkish press says, that Turkey will march 100-150 KM inwards Iraq and is only waiting for Condoleeza Rice to come to Ankara on 25. April. Also they say that when Peter Pace and Cia and FBI Chiefs were in Turkey both parties agreed on this.
With Rice's visit the last detail will be brought onto the table.
The operation shall last exactly 16 Months.

the atmosphere in Turkey is that something huge is going to happen any minute.
I have no doubt that the US fully supports this move by Turkey otherwise i doubt we would do it. If we could launch an operation of this nature without US approval, we would have done it over 3 years ago.
Bolu And Kayseri Special commandos will march first in.

Hello Dilloduck. I really do not know where this lead to and where it will stop.
You know, maybe US strike on Iran is very very near and intervenening in Iraq is only a part of things going on.
Time will show what really all is about.
