Picked up my new ride last night. Driving it to work today.

The old Exploder gets sold to the salvage yard on Saturday, Gunny. It's your last chance to have that sweet ride.

I'm getting rid of my sweet Exploder very soon, since I'm getting a new ride.

Since you were so jealous of my ride, thought I'd give you first stab at it before I put it on e-bay or set it out on the curb.

Now, it's got a few more miles on it and is leaking lots of fluids but still gets you where you want to go.

Now who could turn down a sweet deal like that?

Alas, my offer was turned down and that Exploder is no more. A bittersweet moment, to be sure, when the operator picked it up like a toy and tossed it over on a pile of (other) junk metal.


The odometer read 185,180 miles and it had gotten me from Point A to Point B mostly reliably for the past year plus. In addition, we scavenged all the tires off it, including the spare which had NEVER been used, the battery I just bought a few months back and the jack. Then sold it to the salvage yard. A pretty good deal, all in all.
