Typically I steer clear of creating threads like this. Not this time. Something is wrong and I can not put my finger on it. What do you think? Anger problems or worse? Combative "D". Certainly not asking for a diagnosis.

If it was my birthday and there was a Parade that I wanted so badly, I certainly would not act this way.

Acknowledged "something is not right" is all I ask. A simple Yes or No

President Donald Trump raged at Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over Saturday’s military parade, arguing that the soldiers were “hamming it up,” biographer Michael Wolff has said.

Wolff appeared on The Daily Beast Podcast, saying that the president wanted a “menacing” show of force in honor of the Army’s 250th, and his 79th, birthday on June 14. Instead, Trump got a “festive” parade, said the author.

“He’s p***ed off at the soldiers,” he said. “He’s accusing them of hamming it up, and by that, he seems to mean that they were having a good time, that they were waving, that they were enjoying themselves and showing a convivial face rather than a military face.”

The White House called Wolff a “lying sack of s***” and a “proven … fraud.”

LOL.

I love it when you leftist try to hide a leftist propaganda source behind a Yahoo link.

You are fooling zero percent of posters.

It wasn't a birthday parade, unless you consider a parade planned while Quid Pro Joe was president to be a TRUMP! birthday parade.

no no no
You are mad because No Kings day rained all over this parade
Mad? I'm not mad at all. I'd be a little peeved if some idiots kept ambulances and fire trucks from getting to their intended destinations in my area, but we're apparently more civilized than other parts of the country.

If anyone should be mad, it would be those who wanted to appreciate the armed forces' sacrifices and had idiots take over the TV screens.

The parade wasn't planned under the Biden Administration.

Of course the Army was planning some celebratory events, but not a massive parade down Constitution Avenue. That wasn't added until Trump got back into office.

The White House's perception of Michael Wolff's predictable TDS motivated dishonest reporting is most likely the accurate one.

But he must not have gotten the memo with the assigned talking points that the soldiers were angry, dispirited, didn't want to be there.

Another account of the event written by somebody who doesn't hate Trump:

". . .No, it wasn’t a goose-stepping military parade à la North Korea or Germany circa 1939. It was a proud celebration of military prowess and professionalism in service of the American Spirit

The parade was configured to spotlight the U.S. Army’s 250-year history rather than to inspire fear in the hearts of our enemies; the intended audience was very much the American patriot. Troops marched in a loose cadence that allowed for the individuality of each soldier’s gait, rather than in the sort of inhuman perfection achieved by communist overseers. Those riding in the rolling stock smiled broadly and waved to the crowds. They saluted with pride and love of country as they passed the reviewing stand, rather than freezing in rigid salute to Dear Leader.

In return, the Commander-in-Chief spent much of the two-hour parade on his feet, saluting the troops passing by. . ."
