Before it became a Soviet Client state in 1975, Ethiopia was dominated by Italy from 1936 to 1941. Before that, Italy used their stranglehold on neighboring Somalia and Eritria to control the place.

For Liberia.. that was an American colony. We tried to dump our excess slaves there.
