Je suis d'accord, en principe. It is obvious a majority of Americans want to hit the pause button on immigration. American liberals must find a way to accommodate this reality or they risk losing relevance and having no voice in whatever new laws or actions that are advanced as preventative measures. There is a great danger the country will become overly influenced by white nationalism and guided by fear. You don't need more draconian versions of the Patriot Act for example.
