None of the pleas or indictments had anything to do with allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, which was the only reason a special counsel was appointed and after more than two years of investigations into allegations of collusion have not produced a single piece of evidence of collusion, it is time for the special counsel to resign and turn the remaining investigations back to the Justice Department and FBI.
If your claim that Mueller is withholding evidence for political purposes is true, he should be fired and indicted for malfeasance.
May 17, 2017 - WASHINGTON — The Justice Department appointed Robert S. Mueller III, a former F.B.I. director, as special counsel on Wednesday to oversee the investigation into ties between President Trump's campaign and Russian officials,
Mueller has been at it only 10 months. It may just seem a lot longer because of all the indictments and convictions.
Mueller took over the investigation that had been run by Comey and McCabe after Comey was fired, so the investigation is over two years old and after more than two years not a simgle piece of evidence has been found
You keep saying that as if you keep repeating it makes it true.
None of us know what Mueller has found.
But we will once his investigation is complete.
Hopefully there will be no evidence of knowing collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.
it is an abuse of power for Mueller to be spending taxpayer money investigating something that is not a crime.
As a special counsel, Mr. Mueller can choose whether to consult with or inform the Justice Department about his investigation. He is authorized to investigate “any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump,” according to Mr. Rosenstein’s order naming him to the post, as well as other matters that “may arise directly from the investigation.” He is empowered to press criminal charges, and he can request additional resources subject to the review of an assistant attorney general.
What has the Special Counsel achieved so far?
The full list of known indictments and plea deals in Mueller’s probe
1) George Papadopoulos, former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser,
pleaded guilty in October to making false statements to the FBI.
2) Michael Flynn, Trump’s former national security adviser,
pleaded guilty in December to making false statements to the FBI.
3) Paul Manafort, Trump’s former campaign chair,
was indicted in October in Washington, DC on charges of conspiracy, money laundering, false statements, and failure to disclose foreign assets — all related to his work for Ukrainian politicians before he joined the Trump campaign. He’s pleaded not guilty on all counts. Then, in February, Mueller filed a
new case against him in Virginia, with tax, financial, and bank fraud charges.
4) Rick Gates, a former Trump campaign aide and Manafort’s longtime junior business partner, was indicted on similar charges to Manafort. But he has now agreed to a
plea deal with Mueller’s team, pleading guilty to just one false statements charge and
one conspiracy charge.
5-20) 13 Russian nationals and three Russian companies were indicted on conspiracy charges, with some also being accused of identity theft. The charges related to a Russian propaganda effort designed to interfere with the 2016 campaign. The companies involved are the
Internet Research Agency, often described as a “Russian troll farm,” and two other companies that helped finance it. The Russian nationals indicted include 12 of the agency’s employees and its alleged financier, Yevgeny Prigozhin.
21) Richard Pinedo: This California man
pleaded guilty to an identity theft charge in connection with the Russian indictments, and has agreed to cooperate with Mueller.
22) Alex van der Zwaan: This London lawyer
pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI about his contacts with Rick Gates and another unnamed person based in Ukraine.
But you want to stop Mueller's investigation before it is complete.
What are you so scared he will find?
