Then came The Soviet Bloc, the Arab Bloc, the African Bloc, the European Union Bloc, etc.

The UN became a jobs program for third-world bureaucrats that would otherwise have been teaching economics at some third-world community college.

The UN has never successfully stopped a conflict, averted a disaster, or prevented a famine. The UN can't project any force without the cooperation of America and would have to close its doors tomorrow if American taxpayers weren't footing the bills.
