Here We Go Again!!

Even though we have a huge debt the Trump administration is about to cut tax rates. Does the Republican party ever pay attention to the results of their actions? Obama had to pay over two trillion dollars interest of the debt he inherited.

They don't, to Republicans the national treasury is free money and the national debt is for someone else to worry about.

It's like Republicans are in huge debt in their family and they go to work and tell the owner "I am taking a huge pay cut no matter what you say". And then they don't pay their bills but instead charge everything to their credit card.

Conservatives? Isn't the word conserve right in there?

we are over taxed as it is - we do not have a "not enough taxes" problem, we have a "too much spending" problem

Ahhhh a Reaganite....Good, tell the orange clown that we don't need to spend billions on a fucking "beautiful" wall with his name in lights on it.

when have taxes ever been cut that receipts into the treasury have not gone up?

Kasich and Gingrich are due at least as much credit (if not more) than Clinton for the 90's surpluses

we are over-taxed; especially on the corporate level

I think Trump is correct, lower corporate taxes will bring more corporations to the USA

a smaller % of something is better than a higher percentage of nothing

We're borrowing money from foreign banks to break even. When we elect to do that instead of raising taxes it's exactly the same as funneling borrowed money into the pockets of those who would have been taxed....in other words, the rich. What part of that is it that you can't comprehend?
raising taxes is a deterrent. but you don't know that.

I know that Bill Clinton raised taxes and fathered the biggest growth economy in the last 30 years. He handed George W. Bush a balanced budget with surpluses projected to a paid off national debt. The first thing Bush did was cut taxes, not once but twice and then proceeded to double the national debt once again.

The damn Republicans have been trying to sell trickle down economics for decades, cutting taxes is their mantra. It's their answer to every problem in the world ... on the flip side, as long as Trump can go spend $10 million taxpayer dollars on long weekends at his country club, who gives two shits about the debt picture?

I agree that we borrow too much money

I do not agree that raising taxes is the only solution

I have already pointed out that tax receipts have always risen every time we have reduced taxes, you have failed to address that point

we are over taxed as it is - we do not have a "not enough taxes" problem, we have a "too much spending" problem

What you fail to see is that when the rich aren't taxed enough they get richer and the debt remains unpaid DUUUUUHH!

Like I said...we borrow from foreign banks and funnel the money saved directly into the pockets of the rich.

When did the Left become concerned about the national debt? Why did they fail to utter even a whisper when their Black Messiah doubled the entire national debt in just eight years?

Even though we have a huge debt the Trump administration is about to cut tax rates. Does the Republican party ever pay attention to the results of their actions? Obama had to pay over two trillion dollars interest of the debt he inherited.

It was Bush's wars that caused most of the debt....

How is that possible when your Messiah doubled the debt in just eight years?

You may possibly be the dumbest poster here.

Increased taxes are not the governments, we are an overtaxed society.
The government cannot claim perceived taxes, once tax cuts your passed they cannot be claimed as income and should never be considered income.
Fuck face

It was Bush's wars that caused most of the debt....

Tax cuts are estimated to have totaled $2.8 trillion. The two big tax cuts during the Bush years are estimated to total about $1.5 trillion, But many continued into the early years of the Obama presidency, and in December he cut a deal with Republicans to extend them even more, which brings us to $2.8 trillion.

The cost of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars was $1.26 trillion through 2011 and the Medicare prescription drug program totaled $272 billion.

We're one of a very few industrialized nations in the world which doesn't give it's citizens universal health care. On top of that we rate about 20th in quality of care.
