"Pete" is worried that overweight generals are hampering the lethality of the US war machine. They dont reflect the warrior ethos of the new Dept of WAR!
This is obviously a big worry.
But is humping a machine gun up a mountain really needed by 5 star generals ? Im not sure it is. Maybe the ability to targ
Maybe targetting something without blowing up civilians is good as well.
Or judging when your food will run out ? Or when your men have had enough ?
Are these skills as important ? I think they are more important.

Most Generals are in their 50s and cannot meet the standards of a 20 year old

Hegseth showed where his priorities are with our armed forces.

Todays warfighter needs better training, intelligence to operate complex weapons systems, drone warfare, computer skills

Hegseth only cares about their biomass and how they look in a uniform

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Facing an alarming health crisis across the U.S. military leadership, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced on Tuesday that he had hired legendary fitness trainers Hans and Franz to get all the top generals into shape.

After growing concerned about the condition of the military's top brass, Hegseth reportedly placed an urgent call to Hans and Franz and offered them whatever it would take to bring them to the nation's capital to serve as the Trump administration's hand-picked experts to help the commanders of the armed forces become lean and fit.

"These guys are the best at what they do," Hegseth told the media after announcing the arrival of the new trainers. "We've got enough to worry about with our national security without having to be concerned about the type of image it portrays to the world that our soldiers are under the command of 4-Star General Tubby Bigbottom over here. Hans and Franz are going to solve this problem, and solve it quickly."

In brief comments to reporters, Hans and Franz promised to whip the U.S. military leadership back into fighting shape.

"I am Hans."

"And I am Franz."

"And we are here to pump — CLAP — your generals up!"

"When you are leading the deadliest fighting force in the world, you can't afford to be a little girly man," Hans said.

"Ya, ya, this is right," Franz said. "You will get rid of those puny arms and those flabby bellies, or we will take our weight belts to your buttocks until they are purple."

At publishing time, Hegseth had announced that any mental health crisis in the armed forces would now be addressed by renowned motivational speaker Matt Foley.

How did you come to that stupid conclusion?

How did you come to that stupid conclusion?
It is a conclusion based on Hegseth harping on looks while ignoring the need for more academically qualified soldiers

Prove me wrong

It's about modeling behavior for your troops.

You've probably never had an inspirational boss, and you appear to have been a fat, lazy **** your whole life - eating, drinking, and smoking yourself into becoming a crippled burden on your fellow man.

But, for those of us who have been led by an inspirational person, and have in turn inspired others, one of the key behaviors good leaders demonstrate is being willing to do the same they ask of their teams.

You wouldn't understand.

So should sset an example to his troops. Best set an example of the warrior ethos. The example business has many dangers.

Lethality in human form.

Prove me wrong
When you derp spew unsupported assertions and demand that others prove you wrong, you are committing a logical fallacy known as shifting the burden of proof.

Prove your unsupported assertions. Prove that there's a need for more "academically qualified" soldiers than he's getting trained and prove that he is ignoring it.

Our commander in chief is quite the inspirational leader. An example of good health and weight.
Trump has demanded all military members have one meal a day of a hamburger and a non-diet Coke. It has been his secret to fitness.

I think Pete is trying to save us more money so Trump can fleece us even more. Where else can they save some money? How about get rid of some of these restaurants at the Pentagon? I'm sure these locations get subsidies like restaurants at the airport do. Otherwise they don't get nearly enough customers to pay what rent would be at the airport, right?

Over 23,000 people work at the Pentagon. So, it only stands to reason that the complex has plenty of restaurants to keep the Department of Defense fed.

The concourse features restaurants like 5 Guys, Panera, Potbelly, Subway, Starbucks, and Popeye's. Deeper in the facility, there is McDonald's, Taco Bell, Panda Express, Baskin Robbins, Dunkin, and Jamba (formerly known as Jamba Juice), just to name a few.

Local and other options
While a precise total isn't readily available, the options are extensive,
