Honestly, I don’t care. Fort Liberty was a good name for Ft. Bragg assuming it had to be renamed at all.

The other names of such military installations isn’t much of a blip on my radar.

Personally I thought they should have just renamed them after the location they were at. Fort Killeen instead of Fort Hood sounds cool. Going back to Bragg but saying its for a paratrooper costs $6MM and they could have done that before. Same for Lee - they could have just had a renaming ceremony stating it was for Lighthorse Lee (Rev war hero).

I'm glad it's back to the original name. I was there.

I remember being dropped into the Fayetteville Drive In. Bunch of Air Force Reserve Pilots.

At night, from altitude, a Drive In can look like a DZ (Drop Zone). There was a couple of fist-fights and a few girls caught in their undies but other than that only one trooper got carted off. Guess he got his nuts hung up on a speaker post.
