Huh?
It was a Congressionally passed mandate to remove all statues of that Nature....
However, in 1900 some Confederate Soldiers were moved in to a special section of Arlington as a Memorial and the bronze statue in 1914 from what I just read, as part of the whole Confederate Memorial and Reconciliation, and belongs with the Confederate graves and memorial in Arlington. It should be put back imo, and was a mistake in this case to remove it from where it clearly belonged, imo.
Technically though, Hegseth should ask congress who mandated the removal, to return it.
