Have you heard about the fire in a restaurant in Switzerland?

In Crans Montana It must have been an inferno
No, OP, could you at least LINK us to the story? :link:

By the way, did you hear that my great-aunt is getting a wart removed off her nose?

yeah, it's bad, apparently the bar caught on fire [how?] and it just snowballed from there quickly

Seems a sparkler set the wooden ceiling on fire
impossible, sparklers are only sparking within a range of a foot or so, held many, they don't go up into the rafters so something is way off

who the hell lights a sparkler inside with wood, even if they threw it up into the rafters, they are hot but the wood does not have an oil or tar coating, it would certainly smolder and not fire system kicked on?

The swiss are smart, even a ski resort has that

If the ceiling is low
And a person sits on somebody.s shoulder, the sparks may reach the ceiling.

So it is explained.

On the evening news a witness said that at midnight, the waitresses were serving bottles of champagne with lighted sparklers stuck in the bottles, which they were carrying on a tray held high. Apparently, the height at which they were being carried was high enough for the sparks from the sparklers to reach the wooden ceiling which then ignited. The fire is alleged to have spread from there.

Yes, so it can be explained.
Especially if a person sits on another person.s shoulder.
