Zone1 Have you got a rational explanation for the so-called Miracle of the Sun at Fatima?

Here is a description of that Miracle of the Sun:

Have you got a rational explanation for the so-called Miracle of the Sun at Fatima?
These so-called miracles of the Catholic Church all have one thing in common. They never have any purpose for the members of the Church or the people of the world. That's okay if the "visions" were for only the persons who saw them. And, those have no purpose either. It's Satan deceiving the members of the Church. That way, when the true Gospel of Jesus Christ is presented to them, they will reject it and stay with the false doctrines of the RCC.

It has been comprehensively debunked a long , long time ago.

But like the Fake Turin Shroud , Cultists need anything possible to give some notional rationality to their Faith .
Blame Leonardo for the Turin Fake ,based on computer imaging evidence ,

Keeps the Cultists quiet , although their Gullibility is very irritating when they earnestly start blabbering about such matters as miracles .

We exist in the mind of God who provides reality to all places at all times. So a better question is why did God choose to alter our reality this time and not other times.

So conspiracy theory?

Cultists? Good thing you aren’t biased.

Interesting world when people who are logical and fact based are thought to be biased .
However , I can live happily if I am seen to be thought biased toward Truth .
I don’t believe you are objective and that precludes you from being logical on the subjects you are biased towards. I see you as more emotional. At least that’s how your posts come across to me. You’ll be much happier and successful in life if you are curious rather than judgmental.

If we can accept with modern science everything we've learned about Eucharistic Miracles, I can easily accept Marian Apparitions and such things as the Miracle of the Sun.

There is no non-miraculous explanation for the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima. It is impossible to investigate the facts and remain a non-believer. That is why non-believers don't investigate Fatima. They keep their non-belief intact through avoidance.
I'll tell you what is impossible.

The desire to believe is one of the most powerful psychological forces in humanity, and almost always impossible to overcome.

We see even today that people see and hear what they want to see and hear, and willfully ignore evidence which violates their belief system.

The facts are that despite there being a horde of reporters and photographers, there was no photography taken, or reportage, of the claimed event of the sun dancing around and changing its composition. Nor was there any mention of an oddly behaving sun from anywhere else on Earth the sun was visible at the time.

Eyewitness reports are inconsistent and contradict each other. Many eyewitnesses reported seeing nothing. This is evidence of data having been cherry-picked which only confirmed the paranormal claims and ignoring data which did not conform.

The one and only photo supposedly taken during the event is actually a photo from eight years later in a different town in Portugal.

1917 was a very different and very difficult time. The world had been involved in three years of a devastating global war, unprecedented in its scale. The people were looking for hope. In the midst of all that slaughter and carnage, they needed a sign from above that God gives a shit about them, pardon my French.

Modern science has not validated transubstantiation.

It is an article of faith, not science.
