It appears a 'liberal' is showing how 'liberal' they really are by prosecuting people for speech. I can't remember a time in America where a person had to think about what they said in order to avoid going to jail and if there ever was going to be a time when that would happen I would expect it from the more conservative part of America. I would expect the more conservative type to ban online porn and a liberal person would fight to protect your right to watch porn. Now it appears the same people want to try to ban political speech which was something that virtually EVERYONE, conservative or liberal, would think that was a part of the fist amendment in this country. It should make me wonder if these people really are as liberal as they say they are.

There has always been libel and slander laws on the books.

Free speech does not include all freedom of expression.

Slander and libel laws are when you say something that is completely untrue and harmed someone else. A hate crime is basically punishing you for what you were previously allowed to do such as join a local KKK organization or attend the funeral of a KKK member. Isn't that what Hillary did?

There were 28 women who forgot the camera captures all. What about their rights?

Uh-Huh, except the story you linked is about the Mayor of LONDON as in London, UK, which last I checked wasn't part of the United States and thus isn't covered by the first amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

You might want to find some other story to support your hypothesis.

You are right that it is different countries but on an international level it is the same ideology because the mayor of london seems to have the same opinions as the democratic party here. They even seem to coordinate their opinions in order to achieve the political goal in both countries. It is the same political idealogy practiced in two separate countries so what happens over there will probably end up over here.

Who is to say that hate crimes legislation hasn't already had an affect on our first amendment rights? If I beat up some asshole it is a crime but if I happen to be on some neo-nazi website an hour before then it becomes two crimes in one. If I know this is true wouldn't I make it a point not to participate in those types of activities or not exercise my freedom of speech?

I'm not sure if it has had that affect but it could and if the government considers people who attended tea party rallies or can find proof that I am conservative then any crime I commit could be considered a hate crime. Do this enough times and people may stop participating in those particular activities in order to avoid being prosecuted for hate crimes.

If you think that's hypocritical, just look at how they're clamping down on other sexual orientations seeking the same rights they just were granted last Summer.

Their latest crusade? "The Equal Rights Act": A Legal Lesson Guaranteed To Restore GOP Congressional Hopefuls As Trump Nose-Dives ...where they once again lament about woes imagined and trivial to gain legal footage towards their ultimate goal: shutting down free speech...

Meanwhile, they post on this thread suggesting keeping a tight clamp down on other sexual orientations so the lid doesn't blow off their legal machine: A Legal Lesson Guaranteed To Restore GOP Congressional Hopefuls As Trump Nose-Dives

Pay attention in particular to avid LGBT advocates "Skylar" and "mdk" etc. If you haven't had your hypocrisy-fix today, don't pass those two threads up! These two believe that denying polygamists marriage is OK. Even when it "hurts their children" to do so. It's so thick it has to be seen to be believed. Back and forth, back and forth they go.
