We are not way Past Carter, he had double digit inflation and interest

And if we included food, housing and fuel in the consumer price index like we did then, our inflation rate would be far higher than in the Carter era. Interest hasn’t hit double digits YET, but the Fed will raise it there. It’s the only to put the brakes on runaway inflation.
