Has the Russian Special Military Operation in Ukraine been provoked?

The main “expert” in Ukrainian affairs is, of course the U.S. President Joe Biden who called the Russian Special Military Operation in Ukraine an “unprovoked attack” last year; please see the official website of the White House.

However, I am going to offer my opinion about this subject in the present article.

I believe that the first phase of the Ukrainian crisis, which has led to this Military Operation, was a protest movement - the so-called Euromaidan - which started in 2013.

In the past ten years the question about causes of these protests has been widely debated but no one of Euromaidan supporters could give one single believable cause for it; please see the thread What have Ukrainians been fighting for since 2013?

However, at some point during Euromaidan, protesters began to burn and kill although such their actions absolutely could not be called a self-defense; please see the thread Was there a threat for ethnic Russians in February 2013 in Ukraine (Crimean question)?

I believe that the facts, which are described in the above-mentioned thread, were sufficient grounds for the Russian Government’s concerns about future of ethnic Russians, who are the majority in the Crimea, and for acceptance of the Crimea into the Russian Federation in March 2014.

One may say that Russia did not have to have concerns about ethnic Russians in the Crimea who were Ukrainian citizens at that time.

However, in the nineties, all of a sudden, the U.S. became deeply concerned about Yugoslav Kosovo which is situated 4 828 miles away from the U.S. and which is not related to the U.S. at all, either ethnically, or historically, etc.
But nevertheless, Americans decided to separate Kosovo from Yugoslavia because of their concerns about ethnic Albanians there.

Distance between the Crimea and the Taman Peninsula is - along the Crimean Bridge - 11 miles.
The majority of Crimean population are ethnic Russians and the Crimea was earlier a part of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic.

So, the Russian government decided to accept the Crimea into the Russian Federation in March 2014; in my opinion, to a great extent due to the fact that protesters in Ukraine had begun to burn and kill during Euromaidan.

However, after acceptance of the Crimea into the Russian Federation, Ukrainian authorities began to threat with military measures for “re-integration of the Crimea” into Ukraine - please see the official website of the Ukrainian President.
And these threats were accompanied by large-scale deliveries of Western military equipment to Ukraine.

Therefore, if we consider the preceding events as a “chain” - please see the flow chart below - we can, in my opinion, conclude that the Russian Military Operation in Ukraine has been provoked by Ukrainians.

The more educated people of the world can't possibly be unaware of the truth.

But the huge propaganda blitz by America was very effective for those who wanted to believe what their government and military told them.

Of course Russia was provoked!

On an optimistic note, nearly all of America's wars lose support when even the most propagandized begin to wake up to reality.

And concerning this current war against Russia, the huge risk that is involved.

Even the Vietnam war was ended on account of the people losing heart on account of the sacrifice of American lives for no apparent gain. And Vietnam was relatively risk free.

The propagandists are betting on this war because there's no mentionable sacrifice of American lives in a foreign land.

As we see here, Americans don't want to discuss the possibilities of MAD.

Only the devout Christians among you can reconcile the end due to MAD. They're sure about stepping directly into the next life.

It was provoked 100 per cent, not just from 2013/ 14 but since the nineties .
The most odd fact is that imo NATO did so little to prepare for this obvious current conflict whereas Russia has planned ruthlessly for it for at least the last eight years .
We know that NATO was due to invade Donbas at the end of February last year and Russia simply pre-empted the invasion .
Or should Russia have further ignored being attacked daily by Ukeys with up to 180 000 troops lined up for a total attack ?
Now , due to appalling management, the US proxy forces have almost run out of ammunition and are on the verge of having no remaining worthwhile air defence systems .
How ironic .

So....
Let's go to the earlier catalyst moment....

When Russia began paying Russian loyalists to move to Ukraine....to cause disinformation and when oligarchs began corrupting the election processes....

Can we start at this point?

There is an interesting thread by ChrisO_Wiki about Shoigu's medals. They've been getting a lot of attention lately because Shoigu never served in the military.

It's a good thread. Russia has a medal for everything, even participating in parades, lol.

One of Shoigu's medals is "For the Return of Crimea". The medal dates the start of the operation at 20.02.14, the day Viktor Yanukovych fled the country, and 2 days before he was voted out of office by the Rada.

Russian investigative journalists discovered that the contract for the medals was advertised as early as December 2013, only a month after the Euromaidan protests began in Kyiv, and were concluded on 13 January 2014, with Mosshtamp Plant LLC awarded the contract.

Russia was planning to invade Crimea before Yanukovych was even deposed. They were already minting the medals.

Man, Russia was planning invade Crimea (if necessary) since 1991. Same way, they are planning to fight and win a war against the USA (if necessary). And yes, they already designed medals for capturing New-York and Washington.

Man, "election processes" in Ukraine, as well as in all post-Soviet states (and not only there) is a sad joke, and always have been.
So, shall we start at 882 when the Novgorod's Prince Oleg (Helgi) captured Kiev?

Interference in internal affairs? Haven't heard...
"We are preparing for an uprising in Belarus, because it will happen. We need to be ready to support the troops that will conduct an operation against Lukashenko," said Polish General Waldemar Skrzyczak on Polsat

I saw a clip of someone on Solovyev's show who openly called it a war.

You Gullibles just hate it when facts start flying around .
But nil desperandum, as we say .
Now that the US /Ukey Nazis are crawling around on hands and knees , we can but admire the skill of Moscow at relentless winning with minimum expenditure of arms and effort .
A great lesson for the Pentagon goons .

My younger sister is a continuing delight to all . She has given me publishing rights while she flits around Eastern Europe from her base in Romania .
From her base? I suppose it is some secret mission that no one should know about.

If Ukraine had threatened Russia, which it obviously never did, then it would be possible to honestly claim that Putin was provoked into the war against Ukraine.

BUT since it was Russia, itself, who started the war by its military invasion of a sovereign neighboring nation, Russia and its propaganda apologists simply lack any honest way to claim that the Russian military aggression against Ukraine was “provoked.”

You are gaslighting again.

Ukraine started the war as the 22nd most powerful military, and is the 2nd largest country in Europe Since then, they've been given about $100 billion in weapons (more than Russia spends on its entire Military) and has the backing of NATO. There is nothing weak about Ukraine
So enough of this western propaganda portraying Ukraine as this poor defenseless country. The fact is that Russia is beating the entire West in spite of facing over 40,000 individual economic sanctions
