Has any outside person/organisation .....

Not that I'm aware of.
A UK political forum shut down because of all the requests to delete posts or supply details etc.. But I know the law in the UK is different to the US.

Just with law suits and some bakes on here spouting the same lies.

Lies are easily put in place with facts (backed up with links to valid sources).
In the USA, each individual is allowed the freedom to have their opinion and to state it, whether or not that person(s) make complete asses of themselves or not. You can see that every day on this forum. Drama queens everywhere!

And don't we know it. Still trying my best to not call call them a derogatory word, but it's difficult. I shall double my efforts.

You are gaslighting

No, if you own a web site in the UK, you are responsible for it's content. You can (and you do) speak shit in the US, but in the UK and Europe, you have to be an adult and be responsible.
That would be good training for MAGA then.

In U.S.

Yes, as a website owner in the U.S., you are legally responsible for the content on your website, including content created by others if you allow them to post on your platform (like user-generated content), and can be held liable for any defamatory, infringing, or otherwise illegal material published there; meaning you need to actively monitor and manage the content on your site to avoid legal issues.

Key points to remember:
  • Copyright ownership:
Whoever creates the content on your website, whether you or a third party, is generally considered the copyright owner unless there's a specific agreement stating otherwise.

  • User-generated content:
If your site allows users to post content, you can be held liable for any harmful or illegal content they share.

  • Legal obligations:
You must comply with relevant laws like data protection, copyright, and defamation laws when managing your website content.

  • Website owners may be held liable for defamatory or libelous content published on their platform, including user-generated content such as comments or reviews. Implementing moderation and content policies can help mitigate this risk.
