The exact location of the crucifixion and burial tomb are unknown, but hints were given in scripture. Golgotha means skull. Since the Romans liked to crucify people on busy roads to send a message, there’s three likely sites.
This one is my favorite choice.
About 200 yards behind the camera of the photo are the walls of Jerusalem. A few yards behind the camera was the primary road into Jerusalem via the Damascus Gate. One of the busiest roads at that time. To the right of the photo is a hillside cliff that looks like a skull (Golgatha). And since they needed to put the body of Jesus in a tomb quickly before sunset to comply with Jewish law, there’s a tomb right next to the skull hill.
