Hamas leader: Nations are recognizing Palestinian state due to ‘fruits of October 7’

So you’re saying that the Temple Mount, where the First and Second Jewish Temples were built, is OK to be available EXCLUSIVELY for Muslims, but…

…the Western Wall cannot be available exclusively for Jews?

Why are you in favor of Jews being forced to compromise and share with Muslims, but Muslims do not have to share with Jews?

(Someone’s anti-Jew, pro-Muslim ledtist bias is showing.)
I'm not sure how you can be a citizen of Palestine when there is no country Palestine nor has there ever been

You're a Muslim Arab why wouldn't they want you Habibi?🤔..if you were a Jew you'd e killed

Do you realize how stupid you come across to rational adults.

I'm Episcopalian and was with a Jew.......

At least you're consistent....

..... consistently wrong.

You're a fraud Christians aren't allowed in Muslim mosques.. unless of course you're a paid propagandist

It might be useful to clarify terms to avoid confusion. Here's how I am using the terms:

Temple Mount/Haram al-Sharif = the entire plateau atop the Mount, walls, gates
Dome of the Rock = the golden-domed octagonal building (not a mosque)
Al-Aqsa Mosque = the silver-domed mosque

I have absolutely no problem with each religious faith having a private place of worship, bounded by either space or time. By that I mean, I have no problem with Al-Aqsa Mosque (the building, not the complex) being restricted to Muslim-only. Nor would I have a problem with a new building of any type, whether a Temple structure or a synagogue, being restricted to Jew-only. Nor a church for Xtians only. Having said that, in my personal opinion, it defeats the purpose of the Temple space, which in at least some Jewish thought, is meant to be a space where peoples of all nations gather under the one Gd. But the plateau should be available for all.

I also have no problem with spaces bounded by time exclusively for one faith, especially for holidays and holy celebrational times. That seems to work in Hebron for the Cave of the Patriarchs where most of the time the space is split into your half/my half but for, I think it is ten days, each year, Jews get the whole space and for ten days each year Muslims get the whole space. Useful, pragmatic, respectful compromise.

Here is what I think should not be controversial:

Don't bring weapons to holy sites.
Don't insist on exclusive use of a holy site with threat of violence.
Don't insist on exclusive use of a holy site that has religious significance to another faith.
(I'd also add: don't usurp the holy sites of others as proof-of-conquest, but maybe that is getting a bit controversial.)

And here is the ask:

When Arabs? Palestinians? Muslims? demand any of those "should not be controversial" things -- the international community, and the Arabs, Palestinians, and Muslims communities, and you personally on boards like this -- must push back and put pressure on them.
Nothing you wrote should be controversial but, as the saying goes the devil is in the details and I'm not versed in those details.

Understood. I'd counter with the idea that consistent moral values, equally applied to all, is the baseline for Westerners who choose to enter this conversation.

Don't know the name but it was in the center of Marrakesh. The people I met there always friendly and welcoming.

I always enjoy hearing from others who visit different people in different places but
I'm both sorry and surprised that you were turned away from a Mosque.

I was allowed to roll out my sleeping bag against the building in Damascus and given fruit and tea in the morning.

If the incident was recently, it may have been due to anti Western sentiment.

I was in the Middle East just in time to wander into the '73 War on the way back from Iran.
During most of the hostilities, I ended up living in and around Palestinian refugee camps where I saw photos of and heard reports from Nakba survivors of their former homes, farms, Olive Groves etc

Throughout the region I enjoyed an overwhelming generosity, warm hospitality and an enthusiastic curiosity about my life in America and other parts of the world.

I sensed no hostility toward the Jewish people or the American people for whom they had both admiration and respect.

However, in the group discussions I remember,.there were two questions that I was most frequently asked:

1. "Why do Americans suddenly hate us?"

2. "Why does America help Israel kill the Palestinians and steal their land ?"

I tried to explain the destructive effect of pro Israel MSM on limited individuals and perversion of America's best interests by influential and parasitic right wing Zionist lobbies (AIPAC, ZOA etc) but my Muslim "audience" couldn't believe that people as sophisticated and clever as Americans could be so easily deceived and manipulated nor can I.

It was after spending so much time enjoying myself thanks to the generosity of people with so little that I promised to work toward an even handed Middle East policy that is the only way out of the upward spiral of violence now in place.

Thanks,

P.S.: I hope to read more about your travels.

Get a life.

How about the non citizen Muslims go back to the surrounding countries from which they came and the Israelis get left alone. That seems reasonable to me. If "the Jews" go back to Europe, over half the Jewish population will remain in Israel. Your plan for them?

They can be happy being citizens of New Palestine.

Muhammad was a horrible person why is everybody in love with him ....you dumbass....damn are you stupid
Are you saying Herod was on the same level as Muhammed?

Ghazi Hamad, a senior member of the Hamas politburo, told Al Jazeera over the weekend that the wave of Western nations moving to recognize a Palestinian state is the result of “the fruits” of Hamas’ October 7, 2023, massacre.

In a clip of his interview with the outlet yesterday, Hamad asked the interviewer: “Why are all the countries recognizing a Palestinian state today? Before October 7, did any country dare recognize a Palestinian state?”

He continues: “The fruits of October 7 are what caused the entire world to open its eyes to the Palestinian issue — and they are moving toward it with force. That is, that the Palestinian people are a people who deserve a country.”

Dozens of countries had recognized Palestinian statehood prior to the October 7 attack, though in recent weeks, many more have taken steps in that direction, including a number of major Israeli allies, citing the need to bring an end to the war in Gaza.

Responding to Hamad’s remarks, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar — who has argued that unilateral recognition at this time “rewards terror” — called out France, the United Kingdom, and Canada for announcing plans to recognize a Palestinian state in September, asking rhetorically in a post on X: “If this [is] who applauds you — what does it say about you?”

Britain, France, Canada and Hamas apparently all think alike.
OH PLEASE...

The whole world is against Israel as it is against Trump. Didn't you know that?

Not sure I said any of that. Shusha wrote a post that I saw nothing to take issue with. That may clarify things.

I didn't feel any hostility towards the US or Europe but there was a strong feeling of keeping the infidels from defiling the Mosque. The prostitutes felt the same way. This was about 1972 and I was doing the Eurail pass for the summer. I met a Moroccan and a Swiss and we traveled through Morocco for two weeks, staying with my friend's relatives. A truly wonderful experience. Even go to ride on the Marrakesh Express

Okay, I'll amend my statement.

Britain, France, Canada, Hamas and you apparently all think alike.

So…born a Muslim but now conveniently claiming to be a non Muslim, while at the same time defending the actions of Hamas IslamoNazis.
