It's a really difficult situation. The war needs to end, the number of IDF soldiers alone who have lost their lives waiting for a deal with Hamas is probably higher than if they went into the tunnel to rescue the hostages. It's just a horrible situation as no soldier wants to be sent to their death and no one wants to have hostages die. They should perhaps just have any entrances to the tunnel guardrd and force the Palestinians to elect/appoint a new.government. In effect, ban Hamas through a vote at the U.N even, test where nations are. Then enforce it while those hiding in the tunnel are forced to remain there until they surrender.

Hamas' biggest weapon is one of making people angry at Israel. They're trying to turn the world against them, and they're quite good at it. Look at the UK, Starmer said "no" to Palestinian statehood, really he shouldn't be doing anything about it either way. But his party, full of people who love the Palestine issue, forced him to come up with a plan for it. Ridiculous. If Palestine want statehood, then they should work towards showing they can run their own country, they haven't shown that yet.

This is why now that the shipments have stopped they have been no noticeable increases in hardship amongst the truly needy because they were never getting it in the first place.

Yep. This is a known worldwide issue with all aid. Warlords take most of it and distribute it as they choose. Very small amounts actually make it to those in need. It has become the operational norm. Of course, the exception being those at war with Israel. Somehow Israel is expected to make sure every individual in Gaza has received aid.
