Oh, boedicca, you are so brave. I have boxes of my husband's things I haven't touched in nearly 3 years. I haven't even been in his office for months. Those pangs of missing loved ones are no stranger here. A group hug to you: May your memories improve you, and your courage sustain you.

Thank you friendo. We're putting their house on the market soon, so no real option not to handle some of this now. It's very touching but excruciating. I don't know if it is helping or hurting my grieving process...but I'm inclined to hope that it is helping by bringing a lot of feelings to the surface.

You have a fine mind in pragmatic matters, boedicca. Trust yourself, closure is a good thing, and you don't get it by leaving it till you get over the loss. That just extends it, trust me, and that said, I'm inspired to get back to the business office and try not to cry anymore. Thanks for being that inspiration to set a goal.
