Some people have extra bone in the bottom of their mouth or along their gums, and it can cause many negative side effects. Today I had to have them removed from several spots... and basically how they do it is they fillet back your gums, use a scalpel and a drill to smooth out the extra bone, and the sew your gums back together. I've had my wisdom teeth cut out a long time ago, and I swear this hurts worse than that ever did.

Not my mouth, but here is an example of what I mean by the extra bone.

holy shit
I guess i got lucky. I have yet to have ANY problems with my mouth. <knocks on wood>

I thought Mandibular Tori was a Star Wars character. :dunno:

Simple periodontal work. I have had it and wasn't to bad for me. Just be aware when the packing and stitches come out, your mouth is gonna stink !!!!!

I only had to keep it packed for an hour, and they said the stitches would come out themselves in a week or two.

Lucky you! I had to wait 10 days before the packing and stitches came out.
