old people talking about hacking and electronics in general is always amusing.
If you say so,
BLU,why would you say that without any knowledge of who your responding to anymore than I or anyone else does?
I myself have been into hi tech electronics and still am for over 4 decades. I am currently building another SDR (Software Driven Radio) which functions through a computer with a most sound cards but high end sound cards are preferred. These radios perform better and have less components than conventional systems. They are totally controllable via the PC, they decode digital transmissions (DAB) Digital Audio Broadcasting) along with the ANALOG modes like single sideband,FM,AM. Other digital formats decoded are from the old radio teletype (RTTY), to many other modes that send volumes in a one second data burst, some are encrypted and cannot be read. They are controlled by simple software programs using a USB cable, USB-2 of course, and the images on the monitor are that of a receiver with all the controls on the front panel that you manipulate with a mouse.
I have 6 computers, one as a server for some of my projects and interests and the others for the family to use.
Just the tip of the iceberg to AMUSE YOU, for ONE "Old Person" like me who talks electronics and technology. I find your comment Amusing.
