If they have a reasonable suspicion that someone is at risk of dying or being injured….they can enter your residence.
And, as you said…if they are pursuing someone, they can come into your house and search it.

And yes, they can enter your home if they have a reasonable suspicion that someone’s life is in danger. So if you hear there is a gunshot on the other side of the door, you as a “giggle” sworn law enforcement officer, you waited for a search warrant before going in?
